Shanghai sides cruise to victories in CSL

Shanghai Port sailed to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Nantong Zhiyun, while its city rival, Shanghai Shenhua, also secured a commanding 4-1 win over Wuhan Three Towns in the Chinese Super League (CSL) on Tuesday.

Playing away from home, Shanghai Port came out with a strong attacking presence from the start. In the 12th minute, Wu Lei was brought down inside the box, earning Shanghai Port a penalty kick.
Oscar calmly converted the spot kick, opening his scoring account for the season and giving his team an early lead.
Just before halftime, Wu once again won a penalty, allowing Oscar to complete his brace from the spot.
In the second half, Shanghai Port sealed the victory when Li Ang slotted home from close range following a corner kick in the 54th minute.
Meanwhile, the CSL leader Shanghai Shenhua continued its strong run with a convincing victory over Wuhan Three Towns, making it five wins out of five matches.
Shenghua seized the initiative in the 24th minute, with Andre Luis finding the net on a counterattack.
In the 43rd minute, Xie Pengfei was fouled near the box and successfully curled in the free kick to make it 2-0.
In the second half, Wuhan Three Towns managed to pull one back from a free kick opportunity, but goals from Gao Tianyi and Teixeira put the game beyond doubt.
Elsewhere, Shandong Taishan drew 2-2 with Henan FC, while Beijing Guoan suffered its first defeat of the season, losing 1-2 to Shenzhen Peng City.
